RCNTC-badge

We’re overjoyed at the amount of participation the REUTS Camp Nano Team Competition received, and it’s about time we give out some prizes. First, a congratulations to all those who met their personal goal, regardless what you set for yourself this time. The REUTS team couldn’t believe some of the Word Count numbers people were sending in. It was truly inspiring, and just confirmed that writing an obscene amount of words within little time is more than possible.

Unfortunately, as to be expected, some of the RCNTC team members had to bow out of the competition for whatever reason, and that’s okay! As long as you were writing, or continue to write, you’re winners in our eyes. One of the beauties of Camp Nano (and NaNoWriMo in general) is the potential for so many new, amazing stories that may be submitted to REUTS. So remember, keep us in mind 🙂

Now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for!

The Team Prize

The prize of a REUTS drafting journal is given to the team with the highest word count. Teams started out strong, and maintained throughout the competition. Keep in mind, if people dropped out of the competition mid-way, their Word Counts were lost as well, so you’ll see some numbers that don’t necessarily correspond to the updates we were making throughout the month of July.

In Third place, with a cumulative Word Count of 90,478 (impressive!): Kate & Veronica’s Team!

And the all time champs,  with an insane Word Count of 169,787 (you realize that’s a couple of novels combined, right?): Jessica & Ashley’s Team!

That puts Kisa’s Team with 91,851 in the runner up spot. That’s nothing to sneeze at!

Congrats to everyone who participated! A special congrats to the Jessica & Ashley’s Team team members: Jessica D., JC R., Cary D., & Talynn L.! Make sure you email us (nano@reuts.com) or Facebook message us your address, and we’ll ship out your journals!

The First to 50k and 100k Prizes

But wait, we still have prizes to give out! OOAK (one of a kind) t-shirts to the two writers who hit both the 50k and 100k word count marks! These people wrote their fingers off, and we’re all very impressed at the effort put forth in the RCNTC!

For the 50k Word Count: Emily T.!

And last, but not least, for the massive 100k Word Count: Talynn L.!

Way to go guys! Make sure you email (nano@reuts.com) or Facebook message us your addresses, and we’ll get you your prizes!

But wait!

See that badge at the top of the post? That’s for you! If you competed in the RCNTC in any form, we’d like you to show off all your hard work! Just save the image above and share on Facebook, or post it to your blog, etc…! You deserve all the recognition for participating in a competition that, let’s face it, isn’t all that easy! Especially when everyone has lives of their own to worry about. You guys rock 🙂

This won’t be the last Nano competition we’ll throw, so keep a lookout for any future happenings!

100 thank yous,
The REUTS team!
